Learn more about our mission in Saint-Jérôme to promote social justice and support tenants' rights.
The Carrefour d'actions populaire de Saint-Jérôme was founded in 1989, an initiative of Sister Dolorès Leger and the Institut Notre-Dame du Bon-Conseil de Montréal in order to help the Jérôme community find collective solutions to the 'social isolation.
We will not make a different world with indifferent people.
Our mission is simple: to protect the rights of tenants and welfare recipients, actively working with the community to defend their dignity, safety and well-being.
Protect the rights of tenants and social assistance recipients, by working with residents and organizations in the Laurentides region;
Offer these same people listening, accompaniment and support in their dealings with their owner or any authority concerned, to the extent of the knowledge and skills of the organization's resources;
Offer members or anyone wishing to become one, activities aimed at raising awareness, autonomy, growth and socialization.
We support the principles of social justice and respect and inherent dignity of people. We promote the values of solidarity and inclusion in the community.
